Just after a wedding ceremony is the most magical time. It’s the start of a new life together. The couple’s family and friends share their first moments together. Hugs all round!
A unique aspect of this wedding was that Christel’s dad is a pastor, and had been asked to perform the ceremony. So we had the fabulous moment when he traditionally walked the bride down the aisle as the father of the bride, and then nimbly jumped over to the other side to perform the ceremony....
The old tradition of a groom not seeing his bride before the ceremony dates back to arranged marriages, when the bride’s parents did not want t0 risk the groom running off when he got a first look at the woman chosen for him. Times have changed! There are many advantages in doing group photos before...
